February 2025
A large part of me wants to talk about the despicable acts of those that are supposed to protect our freedoms and rights as humans in this country, but I'm sure that everyone reading this already understands the seriousness of the current political climate and that our right to safely disagree with our political leaders is built into the very fabric of our country.
Every day I read the local and national news. It's important to stay properly informed about our world, and at times it feels heavy. I, however, am a very lucky individual. I have a wonderful wife, kids, family, and community that surrounds me. This gives me hope. If we can keep cultivating strong connections, not only through family, but through active community efforts we will be able to build a world that my children will be proud to explore.
Stand Strong for those who gave their lives, Renee Good, Alex Pretti and the many unnamed. Stand Strong for our neighbors, family and friends. And lastly Stand Strong for a better future, a place that our children will freely and safely venture.

In times when the world feels heavy, we hold space for community, connection, and the simple act of gathering.
We understand the weight of difficult choices. They cost each of us something. It's messy, it hurts, but we can't make it comfortable to do work that denies people their inherent dignity—their right to exist safely, to stay with their families, to be treated as human beings rather than problems.
We're not asking for perfection. We accept that everyone comes with their warts and contradictions. But there's a difference between flawed and trying to do better and intentionally participating in systems that strip people of their humanity. One we can sit with. The other we can't support.
We stand strong for our community. We stand strong for those who have no choice but to stand strong. We stand strong for a world where safety isn't conditional and dignity isn't negotiable.
